Today Josh Fox was arrested by capital police when he refused to turn off his camera when filming the House Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment. The chairman is a Republican and it seems as if he was prejudicial against Fox on a technicality. Although the proceedings were being webcast, the Republicans chose to deny him (and us) our first amendment rights. I guess they wanted to show him who is in control:
CALL OR EMAIL CONGRESS NOW! Tell them Josh should be allowed in to film the hearing. It’s guaranteed in the first amendment! Call tonight thru tomorrow morning. Thank you! Please repost!

The Kirby and WVIA have both refused to show Gasland despite the the fact they sit atop the Marcellus Shale and are charged with being community resources. And, in spite of the the many requests by their patrons to do so. Something is prejudicing them against an open mind.
If you want to watch films such as Gasland, and The Future of Food (in their entirety and absolutely free) go to www.thoughtmaybe.com.
Here is a fantastic Public Radio Station with diverse, intelligent programming: www.Wgdr.org
(if you have any suggestions of your own please forward)
My wife and I have listened to and supported WVIA radio for thirty years. We are not sure what to do. Bill Kelly seems unwilling to consider his manifest bias for gas drilling. He gets a privileged salary at the “non-commercial” station, why should he bite the hands that luxuriate him. Quite the contrary, he seems to kiss those hands with fervor . Witness the Northeast Business Journal series.
Article I of the Pennsylvania State Constitution, Sec. 27:
The people have a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and aesthetic values of the environment. Pennsylvania’s public natural resources are the common property of all the people, including generations yet to come. As trustee of these resources, the Commonwealth shall conserve and maintain them for the benefit of all the people.
Energy Independence???? Look up in the fracking sky!!!!!
Pennsylvanians should be manufacturing and installing solar, wind, geothermal and the like. We ought to make each home as sustainable and independent as possible.
We need to retool America. And it ought to start right here.
"However, when we realized all our neighbors had signed and we were surrounded by leased land – we finally gave in and signed. Now seeing what has happened I would gladly return the money if they would pack up and leave. I consider it dirty money."
